Our Board members bring a broad cross-section of skills and experience from across the housing sector to guide and direct our activities.

Ian-Cox
Chair
Ian Cox

Ian has worked in the property industry for over 35 years, holding senior level roles in development and regeneration at Bellway Homes and Redrow. He is Managing Partner and shareholder of Cox Development Partners, developing mixed-use projects in partnership with landowners and local authorities. Ian is also part-time Project Director for the North Solihull regeneration project.

David-Coates
David Coates

David has worked as a finance and treasury professional in the retail sector for over 25 years, holding a number of Finance Director roles at companies including Sainsbury’s and Debenhams. He was also Group Finance Director at New Look, currently manages his own property portfolio and is the Chair of our Audit Risk and Assurance Committee.

Sara-Dickinson
Sara Dickinson

Sara has worked in financial roles for the past 20 years, and is Chair of the our Treasury Committee. She has previously worked as Group Financial Controller for Sage Group PLC, and as Vice-President and Finance Director of eBookers Group, a pan-European online travel agency. She is currently CFO for Expedia Affiliate Network, a business within the Expedia Inc. Group.

Caroline-Tiller
Caroline Tiller

Caroline has over 30 years’ housing experience and is Chair of our Customer Insight Panel. Caroline was Chief Executive of Central and Cecil Housing Trust, a post she held for six years. Prior to this, Caroline held a number of director-level positions in large and medium sized housing associations, with a focus on customer-facing operations.

Caroline Tolhurst

Caroline has 30 years’ experience in the property and investment management sectors as a surveyor and compliance officer, and was previously Company Secretary at Grosvenor and NewRiver Retail. She is now on the board of Wynnstay Properties PLC and LocatED Properties Limited. Caroline currently sits as Chair of our Governance & Remuneration Committee.

Darrell-Mercer
Darrell Mercer

Darrell has 40 years’ experience in the housing sector, and was previously Assistant Director of Housing for the London Borough of Islington. He is the former Chief Executive of Acton Housing Association and the Dominion Housing Group. In 2017, he became a non-executive board member for Homes for Reading Ltd.

Anne Waterhouse

Anne is a chartered accountant with over 20 years’ finance experience. Prior to her current role, Anne was Deputy Group Finance Director at Dominion Housing Group, and then Executive Director (Financial Services) at A2Dominion. She is a member of the Chartered Institute of Management Accountants, and has also worked as a finance director within the housebuilding industry.

Our Executive Team manages our strategy, direction and day-to-day operations.

Group Chief Executive
Darrell Mercer

Darrell has 40 years’ experience in the housing sector, and was previously Assistant Director of Housing for the London Borough of Islington. Anne Waterhouse

Anne is a chartered accountant with over 20 years’ finance experience. Prior to her current role, Anne was Deputy Group Finance Director at Dominion Housing Group, and then Executive Director (Financial Services) at A2Dominion. She is a member of the Chartered Institute of Management Accountants, and has also worked as a finance director within the housebuilding industry.

Andrew-Boyes
Executive Director (Change & IT)
Andrew Boyes

Andrew has over 30 years’ experience in IT, working across a broad range of business sectors including housing, insurance, retail and distribution. Andrew has been an IT Director since 1998, holding three IT Director roles before he joined A2Dominion in 2009 as Group Director of IT. He became Executive Director (Change and IT) in 2014.

Kathryn-Bull
Executive Director (Projects)
Kathryn Bull

Kathryn has significant senior management experience in the housing sector. Prior to her current role, she was Executive Director (Corporate Services) at A2Dominion, and Group Director of Risk and Planning at Dominion Housing Group. She was also Assistant Director of Housing for the London Borough of Croydon, and was at the London Borough of Wandsworth for six years.

Executive Director (Operations)
Andrew Evans

Andrew has over 25 years’ service delivery experience in both the private and public sectors. Andrew was previously Group Operations Director for A2 Housing Group for 12 years, and was Spelthorne Housing Association’s Deputy Chief Executive. Andrew is a member of the Institute of Management.

Nick-Hutchings
Executive Director (Managing Director, Commercial)
Nick Hutchings

Nick has over 30 years’ experience in the housebuilding industry and formerly worked at the Berkeley Group, one of the most respected housebuilding brands in the industry, where he held senior management posts including Land Director and Managing Director of St George Central London.

John-Knevett
Executive Director (New Business)
John Knevett

John has worked in the housing sector for over 30 years, in addition to his extensive experience as a structural and civil engineer. He was previously Chief Executive of A2 Housing Group, and Group Commercial Officer and Deputy Chief Executive at A2Dominion.

Dean-Tufts
Executive Director (Finance & Strategy)
Dean Tufts

Dean is a chartered accountant and has worked in the housing industry for over 30 years. Dean was Group Finance Director of Dominion Housing Group for four years. Prior to that he was Finance Director of its forerunner Acton Housing Association for 11 years, joining the association from McCarthy & Stone Plc. Dean is an Associate of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales.

Nicholas-Yeeles
Executive Director (Development Initiatives)
Nicholas Yeeles

Nicholas’ career encompasses over 30 years’ experience in the social housing sector, with an emphasis on business development. Prior to his current role at A2Dominion, Nicholas was Chief Executive of Cherwell Housing Trust, part of Dominion Housing Group, and Executive Director (Commercial, London). He has held various executive posts in management and development, and has worked as a freelance consultant.

Our Operational Management Team oversees Central and Financial Services, Commercial, Operations and Financial Strategy.

Caroline Abomeli
Director of Communications
Caroline Abomeli

Caroline has 15 years' experience in public relations. A trained journalist, she previously worked for the Dominion Housing Group and the Diana, Princess of Wales Memorial Fund. She is responsible for our corporate, customer and digital communications, as well as policy management and business planning. Caroline has a master's in business management and is a member of the Chartered Institute of Public Relations.

Gary Bell

Gary has worked in and around the public sector delivering business change and transformation for the past 15 years. Prior to joining A2Dominion he held senior roles in local government, the Audit Commission, Capita Business Services and CGI. Gary is responsible for the implementation of our business transformation programme.

Gary Blatcher
Director of Customer Experience
Gary Blatcher

Gary has over 25 years' customer service experience within the financial and healthcare sectors. Prior to joining A2Dominion, Gary was Head of Customer Services and Head of Operational Planning at Bupa (Global and UK). In his current role, Gary is responsible for the development and delivery of the Group's Customer Experience and Services strategy.

Ellie Broughton

Ellie has over 30 years’ experience in the public, voluntary and commercial sectors. Ellie has been with A2Dominion since 2006, originally with A2 Housing Group, and is a member of the Chartered Institute of Housing.

Director of Treasury
Jill Green

Jill has more than 20 years’ experience in the housing finance sector. Prior to her current role, Jill was Head of Treasury Services at Dominion Housing Group, and Capital and Treasury Accountant at Presentation Housing Association. Jill is an Associate Member of the Association of Corporate Treasurers.

Deirdre-Harlowe-Butler
Commercial Finance Director
Deirdre Harlowe-Butler

Deirdre has over 15 years' experience providing financial services for a range of industries, including the housing, retail, IT and oil and gas sectors. Deirdre was Group Financial Controller for data company Venture Information Ltd for four years prior to joining A2Dominion. She has also held senior roles at My FD Ltd, Irish Estates Plc and A2 Housing Group. Deirdre is a member of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants.

David-Lingeman
Director of Property Services
David Lingeman

David brings over 20 years of property knowledge to the organisation, and is responsible for strategic asset management and delivering an effective and efficient repairs and maintenance service for our diverse range of residents. He was Dominion Housing Group’s Director of Property Services for several years, having previously worked for Notting Hill Housing in a variety of roles.

Danny-Lynch
Director of Land & Development
Danny Lynch

Danny has almost 30 years’ land and property purchasing experience. He has been with A2Dominion for 20 years, prior to which he worked at Shepherds Bush Housing Association and the London Borough of Ealing. He is a general practice surveyor and member of the Royal Institute of Chartered Surveyors (RICS), specialising in development and land appraisal.

Steve Michaux
Director of Residential Services
Steve Michaux

Steve has worked for over 25 years in housing management, spending 10 years as a freelance consultant. He has worked in both frontline and senior roles. Prior to the formation of the A2Dominion Group, he was Dominion Housing Group’s Group Director of Leasehold Services.

Rosie-Nesbitt
Director of Sales & Marketing
Rosie Nesbitt

Rosie has over 10 years' experience in sales and marketing. Prior to joining A2Dominion, she held senior roles at The Berkeley Group (Berkeley First), UNITE Group, Crown Golf and Whitbread (David Lloyd). Rosie is responsible for the sales and marketing of private sales and shared ownership in London and southern England.

Zoe-Ollerearnshaw
Director of Governance & Compliance
Zoë Ollerearnshaw

Zoë has worked in governance and compliance for over 15 years, and has more than ten years’ experience in the social housing sector. Prior to joining A2Dominion as Group Company Secretary, Zoë worked in similar posts at the Work Foundation and the Shaftesbury Society. She is a Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Secretaries and Administrators, and is Chair of the Governance Forum at the National Federation of Housing.

Simon-Potts
Director of Strategic Land, Planning & Projects
Simon Potts

Simon has worked in the housebuilding industry for 30 years. He has extensive experience of land acquisition, strategic development and brownfield regeneration, and was A2Dominion's Executive Director (Commercial, South East) for over three years. Simon was previously Strategic Land Director at Barton Willmore, and held senior roles at Hillreed, Bellway, Fairclough and Laing Homes.

Andrew-Smith
Director of IT
Andrew Smith

Andrew has worked in IT for over 30 years, and has held IT Director positions for Hallmark Cards, Express Dairies and Arla Foods. Over the last 10 years, he moved into consultancy and interim management, with positions at the CIO leadership table at easyJet, the Co-operative Group, DX Group, Npower and Police Mutual. He has a track record of successfully delivering major change programmes, and raising the quality and stability of IT services.

Penny St Martin

Penny has 14 years’ experience in HR. Prior to joining A2Dominion, she held a number of senior roles at Transport for London, leading on organisational design and change for its transformation programme. Penny is responsible for the Group’s HR and Learning & Development services. She has a master's in personnel and development, and is a fellow of the Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development.

Pam Vasir
Director of Supported Housing
Pam Vasir

Pam has worked for housing associations for nearly 35 years, including some consultancy and 17 years with A2Dominion. Prior to her current post, she held a number of senior roles at A2 Housing Group, the most recent being Head of Housing (Care and Support). Pam holds a Chartered Institute of Housing Professional Qualification, a Level 4 NVQ in Health and Social Care, and the Registered Managers Award.

Steven-Waite
Director of Technical & Commercial
Steven Waite

Steve has 20 years' experience of working for private sector residential housing developers. Prior to joining A2Dominion, Steve worked for Telford Homes PLC, Laing Homes and Fairview Homes. His role is to manage the technical and commercial departments, ensure delivery of design information, and control procurement and budget to complete each development.

Dawn-Wightman
Director of Housing
Dawn Wightman

Dawn has more than 25 years' experience in the housing sector, including 10 years working at A2Dominion. Prior to her current role Dawn was our Area Director for London, and also previously worked for Catalyst Housing Group in various housing management positions. Dawn holds a Chartered Management Institute Diploma in Strategic Leadership and Management.

Doreen-Wright
Director of Business Support (Commercial)
Doreen Wright

Doreen has over 20 years’ experience in the housing sector. She is responsible for the management and delivery of our development programme, ensuring the necessary resources are in place to guarantee the Development Team continues to produce a high volume of quality housing.
