Nearly £90,000 raised to improve the lives of hundreds of our customers

We’ve raised almost £90,000 through our Donations Fund to help improve the lives of hundreds of our customers.

More than 200 customers from across 68 schemes successfully applied for funding in 2023, each sharing £87,251.

Kind donations come from our stakeholders, and the money raised is used by our Supported Housing schemes to help improve facilities, set up external courses, days out and leisure activities.

In December 2023 every successful scheme received a Christmas party pack filled with games, activities and recipes to support their festive celebrations. More than £26,000 worth of Love2Shop vouchers were also given out to over 1,300 residents.

The funding is so important because it helps bring residents together to build crucial relationships. It is also a great way to bring joy to residents during difficult times.

Karen Page, a resident at Viscount Court and one of our Donations Fund Panel members, said: “I just wanted to tell you how happy the residents were to have a Christmas Hamper and party. It brought lots of smiles to faces.”

Our Donations Fund isn’t just for Christmas; it is also available for different projects throughout the year. For example, one of our supported housing schemes, Audrey Needham House in Berkshire, secured a total of £1,336 to purchase parasols, bases and covers for their garden furniture.

The application process is open to our Supported Housing residents and colleagues, who can apply for funding on behalf of these residents. The applications are then reviewed by our Donations Fund Panel every three months and the winners can then use the money for their selected project.
