Schemes across London and the South East can apply for grants of up to £2,000 from the ‘Great Places to Live’ Community Emergency Fund until 14 May.
A2Dominion is inviting local community organisations to apply for additional funding during the coronavirus (Covid-19) pandemic, to support their work helping our vulnerable residents.

Funding is available for initiatives that protect vulnerable residents, help them stay connected during government social distancing measures and support their physical and mental wellbeing.

A2Dominion hopes that by providing additional support to local schemes, it will be able to help residents suffering hardship as a result of the pandemic with employment guidance, skills-based training, wellbeing advice and volunteering opportunities.

The funding has been allocated from A2Dominion’s long-running ‘Great Places to Live’ programme. Run by a team of A2Dominion residents and staff, the programme works to improve neighbourhoods and strengthen communities throughout the year.

More than £500,000 has been allocated so far as part of the wider Great Places to Live initiative. Successful schemes have included the installation of outdoor gym equipment in Bicester, the development of a multi-use games area in Ealing and the formation of a cricket club in West Sussex.

Dawn Wightman, Director of Housing at A2Dominion said:

“As a residential property group with a social purpose, we work to build successful communities that can thrive across London and the South East.

Coronavirus has brought unprecedented challenges to our residents, so we’re stepping in to support those charitable organisations who are helping them through this difficult period.

Through these grants, we can help these organisations keep the hopeful flame of community spirit alight, at a time when it’s vital we remain apart.”

Applications for Community Emergency Fund grants close at 12pm on Thursday, 14 May 2020.
