Launching our first Environmental, Social and Governance Report

As part of our commitment towards improving the impact on our customers, homes and the environment, we have launched our first ever Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) report.
A2Dominion's first Environmental, Social and Governance report provides a snapshot of our impact against these three important measures
A2Dominion's first Environmental, Social and Governance report provides a snapshot of our impact against these three important measures
As an early adopter of ESG reporting, the document provides a snapshot of our impact against these three important measures – especially focusing on the steps we are taking to become a more sustainable company.

We are especially proud of our achievements around:

  • Affordability and security of tenure – our general needs properties costs customers 61% less than private sector rented properties.
  • Fuel poverty – we worked with our customers to assess their income and expenditure, as well as looking at their fuel costs to see we could find any savings.
  • Customer support to improve lives – we provided employability support to over 300 customers, helping 108 into employment.
  • Customer voice – we listened to what was important to our customers and made changes as a result. For example, our customers told us they wanted repairs fixed more quickly, so we reduced our target time for completing communal repairs to 15 days.
We know we need to work on some areas too, such as:

  • Gathering data on the performance of our homes and taking steps to improve the environmental performance of our housing stock.
  • Implement our sustainability strategy and work towards zero carbon emissions by 2050, as well as managing and mitigating flooding and overheating risks.
The report is a journey for us, some aspects are well-developed, whilst in other areas we have some way to learn and grow. We hope that by playing our part in the ESG process we will be able to learn, share, improve and demonstrate our impact.
