A2Dominion was once again named Socially Responsible Corporate of the Year at the West London Business Awards on Thursday, 4 February. A2Dominion also came out on top in the same category in 2020.

Beating Westfield and YooCapital to the accolade at a remotely-held awards ceremony, A2Dominion was particularly praised for the way it has responded to the Covid-19 pandemic and the unique set of challenges it has presented to its residents.

When announcing the shortlist late last year, Andrew Dakers, CEO of West London Business said: “Our judges were particularly pleased to note so many businesses demonstrating that they’re at the heart of their communities, stepping up to the plate when they were most needed due to Covid.

“The Awards night this year will be a chance to reward our regions’ community champions. People and companies who haven’t just demonstrated excellence in adapting to unprecedented shifts in our economy, but also in what it means to be a socially responsible business.”

Last summer, an independent report by the Housing Associations' Charitable Trust (HACT) described the support A2Dominion provided to its residents as “absolutely vital” to their wellbeing during the crisis.

A2Dominion’s Director of Housing, Dawn Wightman said: “I couldn’t be prouder of the way everyone at A2Dominion has pulled together to help people in the communities where we work.

“While we were all adapting to new ways of working, the team never lost sight of the crucial part that we, as a responsible landlord, play in community-led responses to adversity.”
