The customer-focused event brought many frontline colleagues and key contractors together to provide essential on-the-day services for residents at our Emerald Square development in Southall.

The drop-in session provided the opportunity for customers to speak to colleagues about any issues they were experiencing and find solutions together.

Arti saw first-hand the lengths colleagues went to ensure their needs were met and she said they “made us feel heard, they made us feel understood, as if they have put themselves in our shoes”.

A team from Pyramid Plus were on-hand to complete minor repairs, including plumbing and carpentry. Many jobs were logged and completed on the day, with any outstanding work booked in.

Contractors from Rose Properties Services carried out free bulk rubbish collections. Colleagues from A2Dominion were available to provide support with a range of services, including tenancy sustainment, anti-social behaviour issues, and employment advice.

Arti said: “Everyone was working as a team that day. They wanted to help as many of us as possible.”

She added: “As a resident of Emerald Square, I was given the opportunity to use the numerous services to assist me with whichever ones I required. With the way it turned out, I considered it to be an effective, well-off and a very successful day.”

We have been running our Big Impact Days for more than 20 years, with colleagues hosting pop-up events across our developments in London and southern England.

Our Big Impact Days form part of our community investment programme which has helped to generate more than £19.6m in social value over the last year.
