In December 2025, Aaron, his fiancée and two children, found themselves in a vulnerable situation and were referred to our supported housing team in Surrey by the local authority.

At the time, the family were living in temporary accommodation and faced extremely challenging circumstances, including elements of modern-day slavery, which had significantly impacted their safety and wellbeing.

The support team began working closely with Aaron to help stabilise his situation and ensure Aaron and his family had access to safe and secure accommodation.

Intervention on December 23 last year meant his family could spend Christmas somewhere safe – and begin taking the first steps to re-building their lives.

Supported housing colleagues helped Aaron with regular support sessions, assistance with accessing relevant services, and guidance around housing, wellbeing and maintaining a sustainable tenancy.

This consistent communication with Aaron helped build trust and his confidence during a challenging time.

Aaron and his family are continuing to progress well and are looking forward to a brighter future together.

Aaron has since written a song about his journey and the life-changing impact this support has had.

Aaron said: “After a difficult period of my life experiencing modern day slavery and staying in a B&B, I was finally able to move into my new home on December 23, just in time for Christmas and was given all the tools to recover and build my life for my fiancée and two children. 

“This song is a thank you A2Dominion, and specifically to Tanya (Support Worker), Naomi (Support Worker), and Rehana (Area Manager), who truly rescued my family from a bad situation and gave us hope for the future.”
