Colleague shortlisted at this years’ Housing Heroes Awards
30 May 2025
We’re delighted to announce that one of our colleagues has been shortlisted at this years’ Housing Heroes Awards.

Alishba Hassan
Alishba started working at A2Dominion in December 2023 in a newly created role of Income Trainee. Alishba didn’t have any housing experience but throughout the training programme Alishba has been praised for her level of dedication and willingness to learn.
Very quickly she took charge of her own development, keeping track of which teams she spent time with, what she learnt and if this was the right order to learn these tasks in, effectively writing the training plan for our future apprentices.
Alishba also started contacting managers within the other departments to arrange her own shadowing opportunities. Alishba became a mentor to other apprentices within A2Dominion and to those she met externally through her qualification.
After just 6 months of being in the role of trainee, Alishba secured a secondment to become an Income Officer and is completing her CIH level 3 qualification.
In January 2025, a department recruitment day took place to appoint our next apprentice. Alishba played a huge part in planning the event, and held online meetings with the applicants. On the day she gave a presentation, held a Q&A session and assisted with interviews and observations of the applicants during a group exercise.
Her support led to us successfully appointing a new apprentice, who will be taught following the training plan she co-wrote, and Alishba will be their mentor.
Richard Bampton, Project Director Customer Support at A2Dominion, said “When I first met Alishba in her first week within the team it was clear that she just wanted to learn and take in as much as she could. I think she asked me more questions when we met than the other way around. That does not normally happen, but showed the confidence that Alishba has and her willingness to learn.
“It’s been such a pleasure seeing Alishba develop within the team, and her ability to take on new challenges. Alishba has been such a positive influence within our team but also with her peers. She is an exceptional member of the team and truly deserves to receive wider recognition.”
Fang-Fang, Early Talent Manager, added: “Alishba has demonstrated exceptional care, patience, and support in her work with apprentices. Her contributions have been extensive and invaluable.”
The ceremony for this years’ Housing Heroes Awards takes place on Monday 23 June 2025. Good luck Alishba!
