Our Donations Fund has helped us to support almost 1,600 customers
More than 100 applications were made to the legacy fund, totalling £39,000. This supported 1,438 customers with a £20 Love2Shop gift card, provided 143 Christmas hampers, and enabled 31 Christmas party buffets and 25 Christmas meals to be hosted.

Every successful scheme also received a festive party pack packed with fun games and activities.

The Donations Fund is generated by former customers, next of kin, friends and family, and others that donate to us. This is used at our Supported Housing and Retirement Living schemes to help improve communal facilities, set up external courses and activities throughout the year.

The applications were approved by the Donations Fund Customer Review and Approval Group, they are a group of customers from supported housing and retirement living.

Margaret, an A2Dominion customer who lives at Nevil Court, a Retirement Living scheme for over-55s in West Berkshire, said: "Thank you very much for the £20 gift card, they will come in very handy for us all.”

Another customer said: "We can't thank the Donations Fund enough. This brought lots of smiles to the residents faces.”

Cherie Charles, Social Purpose Officer at A2Dominion, said: “I want to give massive thanks to all Supported Housing and Retirement Living staff who, yet again, have gone above and beyond in their roles. They have purchased gifts and food, arranged parties, games, entertainment, and really made the festive period special for our customers.

“Also, a big thank you to the Contract Management Team who distributed Love2Shop gift cards to third party managed supported properties. None of this would have been possible without everyone’s help.”

Colleagues went above and beyond once again to deliver a range of projects across our scheme and communities this winter.

Our Christmas Gift Project enabled 659 customers to receive a £20 supermarket voucher. The project supports individuals at increased risk of isolation and financial hardship and was made possible thanks to the generous contributions from our partners.

In Winchester, colleagues brought festive cheer to many over-65s in Stanmore by helping to host a Christmas lunch, complete with entertainment, raffle draws and carol signing

At the Swanfield Community Centre in Chichester, residents also enjoyed a Christmas lunch as well as a magical Santa’s Grotto. The Stanwell Rose Community Centre in Spelthorne hosted in Christmas Pantomime in partnership with the Rah Rah theatre company, while the Elmsbrook Community House in Bicester hosted wreath-making and family craft sessions.
