Fitch Ratings, the leading credit rating agency, has revised A2Dominion’s long-term credit rating from A to A- and moved the Outlook from Negative to Stable.

The A- rating remains firmly within the investment-grade category. Fitch said the rating change reflects higher leverage and a slower recovery than it had previously expected. The Stable Outlook reflects its expectation that A2Dominion’s credit profile will remain consistent with the A- rating over its five-year forecast period.
Fitch also highlighted continuing high demand for social and affordable housing, the cash flow from rented properties and the supportive regulatory framework as factors supporting A2Dominion’s credit profile.
Tracey Barnes, Chief Financial Officer at A2Dominion, said: “A- is a strong investment-grade rating and the Stable Outlook provides a clear platform from which to move forward. We maintain a strong liquidity position, remain fully funded and have a clear plan to strengthen financial performance over the medium term.
"We will continue to deliver our business plan, invest in customers’ homes and services, and take disciplined action to build an increasingly resilient financial position.”
