11 June 2025
We’ve invested £3m to improve 107 homes in Spelthorne making them safer, warmer, and more energy efficient for our customers.

Charles lives in Sunbury-on-Thames
Over the next five years, we’re upgrading 5,000 more homes across London and Southern England, to achieve at least a C energy rating—helping customers stay warmer, lower their energy bills, and make their homes more affordable to run.
This programme is part of our long-term commitment to becoming a net zero carbon organisation by 2050, while continuing to provide safe, sustainable, and high-quality homes for our customers.
What were the improvement works?
As part of our programme of works, which started in May 2024 and took a year to complete, we:- Replaced or upgraded windows to help reduce heat loss
- Added trickle vents to improve ventilation
- Put in place extra wall and roof insulation, boosting home warmth by 25%
- Installed extractor fans in kitchens and bathrooms.
Conan McKinley, A2Dominion’s Asset Director, said: “We’ve made these improvements to help customers stay warm, safe, and comfortable in their homes. With energy prices continuing to rise, we’re proud that the work we’ve done is already making a difference for our customers.
“These upgrades are a key part of our plan to ensure every home we manage has at least an Energy Performance Certificate (EPC) rating of C by 2030.”
