A2Dominion picks up Landlord of the Year silver at RESI Awards

A2Dominion picked up the silver award for ‘Landlord of the Year (Registered Social)’ at this year’s prestigious RESI Awards 2016. A2Dominion was also a finalist in the Small Developer of the Year category.

Organised by Property Week, the RESI Awards are held to celebrate the residential property market and its successes over the past year.

The judges that awarded A2Dominion highly commended for the Landlord of the Year (Registered Social) category praised the Group for a strong [performance in] 2016 and for continuing to demonstrate a diverse and entrepreneurial approach.

The highlights that the judges refer to in awarding A2Dominion the silver award for Landlord of the Year (Registered Social), include:

  • Developing exceptional new builds to meet a range of needs, which included launching the first phase at Elmsbrook in NW Bicester, the home of the UK's first eco-town.   • Delivering its highest-ever business surplus of £43.9m in 2015, and reinvesting £94.5m of surpluses into providing new affordable homes, helping bridge the gap from reduced government grant.   • Reducing the number of homeowners in financial hardship by 58% in 2014/15, through a new early intervention project aimed at supporting tenants to find solutions before arrears escalate.   • Supporting young residents into employment, training and education as part of its Be Inspired programme.
Last year, the Group built 579 new homes, started 770 new homes and acquired land for up to 2,000 new homes.


The awards ceremony was held on 11 May 2016 at Grosvenor House in London.
