The awards showcase projects in Oxfordshire that make the most enterprising use of land and create facilities which are inspirational for users and the wider community.

Matilda House, due to open in June 2019, will provide accommodation for homeless people in Oxford and is designed to meet the specific needs of the residents, giving them access to the support they need to be rehabilitated to go on to lead fulfilling lives.

The house based on Rymers Lane in Oxford forms a part of Oxford City Council’s strategy to tackle homelessness in the city and will help towards solving the huge social problem being faced by the community.

Pam Vasir, A2Dominion’s Director of Supported Housing, said:

“Projects with a strong social purpose are at the heart of what A2Dominion does.

“We are committed to being a positive part of the local communities where we operate. We have been providing supported living in Oxford for many years, and a brand new, purpose-built facility in a highly sustainable location will enable us to continue to do so for many years to come.

“Matilda House will be vital in providing support to some of the most vulnerable people in Oxford, and we are delighted to be part of the delivery of this project.”

The awards will be announced at a ceremony at the Oxford Property Festival on Thursday 11 April at Keble College in Oxford.
