Meet NickiWhy do you stay at A2Dominion?

For the first time in my life, I feel like I have a career.

I absolutely love the job, feel really valued by my colleagues and I’m part of a great team. I feel like I make a difference to my clients’ lives and that's a massive bonus for a job, that I love anyway.

I'm not going to deny it's a challenging job but the rewards are amazing: knowing that I'm reducing the risk of further harm of abuse is just an amazing reward.

I find A2Dominion great employers. They offer ongoing training to helps us reach our full potential and there are opportunities if we want to move up the ladder as well.

You can join monthly Teams meetings with the directors from our area to be kept in the loop with what's going on in the wider teams.

Do you feel supported at A2Dominion?

I've never worked with a team of colleagues who are so dedicated and committed to providing the best service for our clients. As a team we support each other through the lows, and celebrate the highs together.

We also get clinical supervision monthly. It’s key as we are frontline with domestic abuse. It gives us an opportunity to come together as a team and talk about any issues. It's a confidential space so whatever is discussed doesn't go any further.

A2Dominion also offers staff an employee assistance programme. It's a free service and they offer counselling which I have used in the past. It’s a great benefit because counselling is very expensive so to have that provided by your employer is brilliant. I can't fault the support; I've been here for five years now and I just find it amazing.
